Pegah’s top 10 albums of 2024

Pegah

Throughout 2024, I didn’t listen to many albums. I still haven’t explored most of the major releases of the year, choosing instead to immerse myself in underrated Doom Metal bands—those overlooked and forgotten in the vast waves of social media. I dedicated my time to reviewing these bands, striving to introduce them to a wider audience. Ranking them wasn’t easy, as they all hold a nearly equal place in my estimation. Still, I’ve done my best to assemble a top-10 list. Let’s dive into what I’ve brought together!

Lost in the Riffstorm 2024: Part 1

It’s time for some small redemption. There are a few heavy hitters we missed when they were just released. Whether it was because we didn’t get the promo or simply didn’t find the time amidst the avalanche of Metal we receive every second (yes, per second!), these albums deserve recognition—especially if they don’t make it to any of our end-of-the-year lists. Consider this an apology for past and future mistakes. Convenient, right? Anyway, some of these albums you’ve probably listened to death, while others might not have even appeared on your radar. Let’s get to it!

Totengott – Beyond The Veil

There are moments as a reviewer when you wonder if you’ve heard it all. Le temps détruit tout (time destroys everything), so I do wonder if there’s anything left before I become a cranky reviewer who doesn’t see the sunlight and can’t get off the floor without using my hands for support (oh, you feel addressed? Maybe you should!). Despite this, I welcomed Totengott‘s Beyond the Veil with no prejudices. Little did I know, I was about to embark on a strange and uncertain journey. Tag along!
