True kvlt: Purge of Relics, Nothing & Where The Light Fades

Here we go again. We survived another week of painful existence only to see what random stuff the deep underground wants to throw at us. This week feels a bit different, or at least I think so, because I bring you heavy elements—music so hostile and violent that I’m sure many of you will let this one pass. But hey, the people who love pure brutality need representation, too.

Purge of RelicsMonetized Survival: It’s not the first time we take a look at what Purge of Relics has to offer. However, not much has changed. The Grindcore project will split you in two and take no prisoners, but with a production quality that makes it all so much more digestible and enjoyable. Besides, you’ll probably only need two minutes to dive into this thing—that’s how long it can be. Click here!

NothingThe Self Repair Manifesto: Another single, but this one is totally different. It’s Death Metal that leans closer to Tech Death than anything we’ve ever reviewed in True Kvlt. Expect great musicianship, complex patterns, and enjoyable production. In fact, I’m so pleasantly surprised by this that I’ll give it a full review later on. Because Nothing is definitely something we can’t let pass (see what I did there?). Click here!

Where The Light Fades – Into The Depths of The Black Creek: We can’t have a True Kvlt section without some Black Metal from the cave. WTLF’s new EP promises exactly that: competent, dark, and abrasive Black Metal that could convince most fanatics. Sure, you’ve heard a lot of this before, but as usual, I appreciate the craft and the ideas that somehow never get old. It’s a consistent EP that shows a band with lots of potential. So if you want long and hypnotic riffs, Radek is your band. Click here!

There you go! A quality way to spend your Sunday aside from getting anxious about Monday and all the slaving it’ll demand from you. You’ll get to open this “box” of random Metal before or after the manager starts shouting at you for something that bastard should’ve done in the first place anyway. See you next week!
