It’s time to return to the roots of this forsaken section. Today, I bring you nothing but dirty, rancid Black Metal from the pit. However, don’t let all my adjectives fool you—there’s something interesting about every release I’ve picked. Whether it’s how at home they make us feel or how real they sound, there’s no doubt in my mind that Black Metal is more dead and alive at the same time than ever before. But enough babbling—let’s get to what you came for.

Vyr Muk – Crimson Fields of Sorrow:
Well, it happened again—someone sent something from the actual front (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Despite its rawness, Vyr Muk combines Gothic melodies and synth with classic, epic Black Metal. The guitar tone is spot-on for the style, and even though the vocals sound extra decadent, I can feel real potential here. I sincerely hope this project continues to evolve and polishes some production details, because there are many good ideas and strong execution throughout this album. Click here!

Eveale – Lament of the Dryads:
Well-executed, bread-and-butter Black Metal that leans more toward the Norwegian school than anything else. The difference is that Eveale adds a surprising sense of groove, something often missing amidst all that tremolo-picking. If you like classic Emperor, there’s a lot to enjoy here—the aggressive transitions, the engulfing nightscape it paints. It’s truly a comforting vintage journey. Click here!

Brûleur Du Soir – Conśtruire La Dépression:
You know what it means when we go French—we’re getting weird, of course! This is uncooked, rancid, and exactly what basement dwellers crave. It’s that Depressive Black Metal with suffocating drums and vocals filled with existential pain and loss. There’s clearly a homage to Austere here. Even if this isn’t my usual jam, I can’t deny the real sense of anguish and decay behind these chords and blasts. Click here!
There you have it—it doesn’t get more kvlt than this. As usual, I won’t keep you much longer. Just remember: life has purpose (because listening to so much Black Metal might hurt you!), even if that purpose is to get revenge on your enemies. See you!
