We’ve had many submissions again! So, let’s go!

Mindistry – Bloodline: You might remember my take on their track “Dunkelgrau” (and if you don’t, you can find it somewhere in this article here). In the meantime, Mindistry has proven to us that they certainly know their Industrial and Thrash Metal. This concept EP features five powerful songs written about the crusades in Jerusalem all the way to modern weaponry and conflicts. If I’ve made you curious, I recommend you check out the “immortal” variant of Bloodline (featuring demos and narrations, amongst other exclusive things), available here.

Artificial Perception – The Cosmic Shore: I never thought I’d end up liking an Electrometal/Electronicore band, but Artificial Perception is actually a brilliant group. Once you get past the electronic part, you’ll discover two very talented vocalists (Mihai Măciucă and Mihail Georgescu) and a surprisingly – dare say I, remarkably – heavy background, with Brutal and Technical Death Metal influences. The guitar riffs are delicious, and the overall The Cosmic Shore experience is one you will certainly not regret. If you’re a fan of futuristic lyrics combined with heavy breakdowns and melodic, even electronic bits that will transport you into another world, then I recommend you listen to their album here.

Laxis – Respiratory Failure: We need to clarify something from the beginning – Laxis is another one of those young Romanian bands, but they offer something different to the local Rock scene. Even though they were apparently inspired by Nelly Furtado and Timbaland’s “Say It Right”, they play Punk Rock with some Grunge and Alternative Rock nuances. Think of it as a good combination between Ramones, Måneskin and Faith No More. The track has the intensity of a Punk song, but the catchiness of an Alt. Rock song. Without further ado, you may find the track here.

Profiler – Dope: We’re back with crystal-clean production that shows exactly why Nu-Metal has made a nostalgic comeback this decade. However, don’t expect anything corny or sentimental — Profiler blends in plenty of modern Core influences, throwing in brutal breakdowns across the short time it spends with us. It takes one of the most commercial ideas in Metal and twists it into something genuinely interesting. Also, if you like your mix louder than a traffic jam, this comes close. It hits like a brick wall. Anyway, click here!

Nico – Give Me Five: Here we have more instrumental Prog Rock — yes, like the one we had last week! You might expect this to be a ten-minute-long, overly complicated quest, but Nico delivers fun yet skillful tracks filled with playful ideas and catchy riffs. We don’t cover much music that can actually cheer you up, but this comes close. It makes me feel like I’m playing one of those old Sonic the Hedgehog games (the 3D-ones, I’m not that old!), and that’s golden to me! Click here!

Kittenhead – Purr: Well, they’ve tried to bribe me with a cat-friendly name (among other things). As you’d expect, the track has that safe and comforting Punk/Rock energy. Aside from being just fun, I can’t help but see it with some humor. We rarely review music this accessible to the community, but we wanted to check out something different. You’ve got a strong verse-and-chorus structure for once — nothing too convoluted, just straightforward music that helps you forget the troubles of everyday life. And really, who doesn’t enjoy a little silly escapism now and then? Click here!
Alright, that’s it! Follow us in the socials and submit your track here!
