Metalcatto

We’re going faster today.

Tommy Tombster – Crakin’ Hoons: I guess one could say this is Thrash Metal with vocals so decadent, it reminded me of Ares Kingdom. That has to be a compliment. Yet, it’s far more direct, so don’t expect complications.

THEFALLS – Nature’s Collapse: I also thought there was a typo in the name, but no. You’re getting that dirty crust that makes you think of Punk music if it was played by competent musicians. It’s intense, loud, and uncompromising. I do see potential in these guys.

Nine Red Rooms – Archetypes: We hadn’t mentioned some kind of Power/Heavy Metal track, well, here we are. Another power ballad, but this one has more twists and turns than usual because it takes a lot of time to set things up. Expect dramatic guitar solos too.

Profane Burial – Malicious Discomfort: Alright, now we’re talking. Prog Death that oozes creativity, brutality, and good songwriting. These guys should send us their whole record. It’s interesting enough to captivate the nerdiest side of our readership.

Vihilja – Lunatyzm: An old friend from this section. The track is a good middle ground between old school Black Metal and modern Post/Black. It’s loud and brutal, but also melodic and cathartic. I’m hoping these guys finally get a promoter or a label soon. They totally deserve it.

Desu Taem Grave Digger’s Afternoon Nap / Own Your Own Destruction: With titles that have to be satire, our usual sponsor is here, giving us more tracks that are basically a parody of old Radio Rock. This is probably music your grandpa can get behind.
